Listen to your document
Text is extracted in your browser. Speech uses a voice exposed by your browser or device, so availability and network use depend on that voice.

Listen to a PDF or EPUB in three steps
Add a document
Choose a PDF with selectable text or a DRM-free EPUB e-book. The file is opened locally in your browser.
Find your place
Review the extracted text. Use available chapter, outline, or page links, or select a passage to preview.
Choose a voice and listen
Pick a voice your device offers, adjust tone, speed, or pitch, then play, pause, and resume in this tab.
Built for real reading material
Use it for EPUB novels, PDF textbooks, research papers, course notes, and reports. The transcript lets you check reading order and select a line or passage for a quick spoken preview.
Complex PDF layouts, tables, equations, and footnotes may not sound natural when read linearly. Review the extracted text first. Image-only scanned PDFs need OCR, and protected e-books are not supported.
Local file extraction
Your file is opened in the browser for text extraction and is not uploaded to AuditYourWeb for conversion. Some browser voices may use an online service to speak the text.
Reading controls that fit you
Try Storyteller, Professional, Speed Reader, or Calm & Deep settings, then fine-tune the voice, speed, and pitch. The presets adjust playback; voice quality varies by device.
PDF and EPUB read-aloud FAQs
How do I listen to a PDF aloud?
Choose a PDF with selectable text, review the extracted transcript, pick an available browser voice, and press Play. You can change the reading speed and pitch, jump to a page or outline entry, or select a passage to preview.
Can I listen to an EPUB e-book?
Yes. Choose a DRM-free EPUB file to read its text aloud. When the book includes a navigation table of contents, you can jump directly to a chapter or other linked section.
Can I download an MP3 using the selected browser voice?
No. Browser and operating-system voices can speak text in this tab, but the browser does not provide their audio as an MP3 file. This tool offers live listening rather than an MP3 export.
Does the tool upload my document?
The tool opens your PDF or EPUB locally in the browser to extract its text; it does not upload the file to AuditYourWeb for conversion. Speech privacy depends on the voice and browser you choose: some voices may use an online speech service.
Will this work with a scanned PDF?
Only if the PDF already has a selectable text layer. This tool does not run OCR, so image-only scans need OCR before they can be read aloud.
Can I listen to a full novel or textbook?
You can open long DRM-free EPUB books and text-based PDFs, then navigate through their chapters or pages while listening. Large files may take longer to extract. Keep this tab open for playback, and review PDF text for reading-order problems.
Which languages and voices are available?
The voice list comes from your browser and device, so names and languages vary. Voices such as Samantha or Google voices appear only when available on your system. Tone presets adjust playback settings; they do not install new voices.
