Side-by-side overview
AuditYourWeb and accessiBe at a glance
accessiBe is a multi-product platform. The comparison below treats accessWidget, accessFlow, and accessServices separately instead of presenting accessWidget as the whole accessiBe offering.
| Area | AuditYourWeb | accessiBe |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor interface | Configurable widget with visitor preferences | accessWidget includes profiles and interface controls |
| Public page scan | Free first-pass checker | accessScan is offered as a separate scanner |
| Multi-page crawling | Deep Scan for public routes | Available through accessFlow |
| Source-code workflow | CLI/CI scanner with file and line context for supported rules | SDK, MCP, CI/CD, code examples, and fixes through accessFlow |

Why teams evaluate an accessiBe alternative
An alternative search does not always mean a product failed. A team may need a different buying process, budget, technical workflow, reporting model, or level of expert support.
AuditYourWeb is designed around direct access to scans and remediation work. That can suit a small business, agency, SaaS team, or developer who wants to see affected pages and supported code patterns without beginning with an enterprise sales process.
- Keep accessibility findings visible to the people who edit the website.
- Separate visitor preferences from root-cause remediation work.
- Use a public scan before creating an account or connecting a website.
- Move from one-page checks to multi-page and source-code workflows when needed.
Different product approaches
accessiBe currently describes accessWidget as a runtime layer that scans the rendered DOM and applies eligible corrections without rewriting the underlying source. It positions accessFlow as a separate developer platform with crawling, monitoring, code guidance, SDK, MCP, and workflow integrations.
AuditYourWeb brings a visitor widget, public scanner, deep route scan, and CLI/CI code scanner into one account-oriented workflow. Its narrower scope is intended to be easier for small teams to understand and operate, not to imitate every enterprise service accessiBe offers.
A practical remediation workflow
Start with a public URL, review detectable barriers, inspect affected routes or code, apply a change, and rescan. A widget can remain available as a visitor-controlled preference layer while the underlying product improves.
Automated testing is useful for repeatable checks, but W3C guidance is clear that tools cannot determine every accessibility requirement. Keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, content, and real-user evaluation still matter.
Who each option may fit
AuditYourWeb is best aligned with smaller teams that want self-serve scanning, a configurable widget, and actionable development findings in one dashboard.
accessiBe may be more appropriate for larger organizations seeking a broader product portfolio, expert services, procurement deliverables, manual testing, or established litigation-support packages.
Important limitations
Neither product should be treated as a guarantee of legal compliance. The FTC final order concerning accessiBe addressed specific advertising claims about automated WCAG compliance; it did not establish that every accessiBe product is ineffective.
AuditYourWeb automated results also require interpretation and manual review. A clean automated scan does not prove that every page, state, document, or user journey conforms to WCAG.
